Daios Cove: Summer 2025
Playlister is back in Crete with its best summer musical programme yet

Summer's here in Europe and we're once again spearheading the musical programming at Daios Cove. From intimate DJ sets by the pool to full-band shows at sunset, we've hand-picked a stellar selection of artists to soundtrack days and nights by the Aegean Sea.
This year is already looking like one of our best yet. So far, we've seen week-long DJ residences from DJs including Playlister's George Plant as well as ABEL and Fiona Jane, with Xantoné Blacq, former musical director for Amy Winehouse and performer with the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire and Emeli Sandé, taking the stage at the weekend. This week, Sam Don is touching down in Crete to deliver a number of globally-influenced sets.
Into July, and the Cove will welcome Eddie Chacon, one half of the legendary Charles & Eddie, who will bring his superb vocals to the Ocean Bar on the 10th alongside DJ/producer Ash Rah. Signed to Stones' Throw Records, Chacon has been creating emotive and woozy neo-soul in recent years - perfect for golden hour moments on the beach. DJ Cristina Lazic will perform her stripped back, groove-driven house on the 15th, 17th and 18th, before our own Scarlett Lapidus selects worldly disco and boogie, week commencing 21st. Rounding off the month will be emerging artist Cherise - named by Clash Magazine as one of the women raising the bar for soul and jazz in the UK - coming to the Ocean Bar on July 26th.
Lou Hayter will be sharing her love of disco, electronic soul and 80s RnB week commencing August 4th, before East London duo Raz & Alfa arrive to Daios on August 16th, packing their percussion-led music rooted in West African tradition and London's underground sounds. On August 23rd, the brilliant Dele Sosimi - former keys player for the iconic Fela Kuti - will play a blistering sun-scorched set of fiery highlife funk and groove to the Ocean Bar. September will see our own GCON on the decks from Monday 15th September, with upcoming soul-jazz band Sol Paradise flying in for a special Saturday set. We also have the excellent Franc Moody playing their signature blend of contemporary funk and electronic tones on the 26th.
